Beautiful graveyard

Have an unusual picture that I wanted to post here. Nov 1st is celebrated as All Soul's Day in many parts of the world as also in Goa. I visited my grandma's grave earlier last month on this day and witnessed this beautiful scene. The graveyard with it's newly whitewashed walls wore a festive look and was bursting with colours and the wonderful sweet fragrance of fresh flowers. Families of the deceased cleaned and decorated the grave sites of their near and dear ones with freshly plucked flowers, soft rose petals and bright yellow garlands of marigold. Some lit candles and placed them gently at the head of the grave.

There was a lot of love that day at the graveyard. And standing in that beautiful decorated graveyard amidst the people praying for the souls of their friends and family, I knew my grandma was at peace.
